Activity 5

The Song that i chose work with was called " Only a Pawn in Their Game". The songs about not blaming the people that was part of the governments cruel plans. Their only trying to make a livng, and they were thought the wrong things basically. In other words, they are just "pawns in their game" as the title suggests. You could tell in that era, times were depressing and hard. Yet some of them, never blamed the working men. Just the people they controled them. It's kind of odd, but recently i've been listening to this song called "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi, abd it kinda reminds me of this song in away. This song is about living your life, and not letting anyone stop you from being you. The message both of them gives out, is kinda different, but it can be connected like a puzzel. Only a Pawn in Their game tells, how you shouldnt blame the workers because all their tryin to do is make a living. While the song "its my life" can go into a little more detailed in the aspects of the workers. It's like, if you listen too it's my life, you could understand a pawn in the game a little better..

Un- America

Un-American

What do i find Un-American, as you might say, well? Let me think about it. Got it, i know the perfect topic. The thing that i find really Un-American is what we like to call peer-pressure. Don't understand my way of thinking? Thinking what makes peer-pressure Un-American? Well, let me inlighten you on the ways of the world.
What do we call an America? Other than our home. What does it mean? why do people travel alll around the world just to get here? It's one word that we all know and love, freedom. Freedom to do what you want. Freedom to do what makes you feel comfortable and safe. That's why its legal to actually bring your cultral backrounds to America, so you can feel at home in an new enviroment. So to basically sum it up, America is a place where you can do what you feel safe and comfortable with. Now peer-pressure just kills that for everyone. People didnt come to America, just to be like someone else. They wanna make their own person and not in some bodies shadow . Peer-pressure puts a large amount of stress on people to be what they are not and that is not the American dream.

10 amendments

Provides for the right to trial by jury in certain civil cases, according to common law

I support most of the 10 amendments given in the bill of rights, but i mainly agree with the 7th amendment, which posted on the top of this page. Everyone should get a case, no one should jump to conclusion until the facts are made and proven. If you accuse the wrong person, then your sending an innocent man/women to prison when the actual criminal gets off, hands free. I don't agree to the system of the court though. It's all about facts and info they got on someone. A man could kill a 100 people, but if they got no evidence on him, he can get away as a free man. Anyone can lie or hide evidence that proves them guilty. It's to easy too get away from the law.

pp. 170

" The American war is over, but this is far from being the case with the American Revolution. Nothing but the first act of the dram is closed" Benjamin Rush

I agree with his statement 100 percent, ill even add that extra 10 percent. The Revolution is long from over, because all people care now aday is hate, That comes from not understanding one another, basically not understanding where their coming from. The only way to truly understand how their feeling, is if you go through the same exact thing and even then, you still might not have the same feelings as the other person. Another fact is, people always wants to retaliate, heck they even made it a rule. If you kill, then you shall be killed. Does that mean, the person that killed the other person that kiled, will be killed too?? So where does it stop? The answer is it doesnt. Thats why i agree with that statement, one action will lead to another and so on,

Declartion of independents

The Declartion of Independents is one of the few things we really cherish in the United States. What makes it important is the freedom it declares to everyone. Everyone needs to feel free in some type of way, or they may just go mad. If the Declartion was never proclaimed in the year 1776 on July 4, then the United States would be anything but i free country. The United States could be dictated by another country ( if that possible), or taken over. So the Declartion was basically a strong hold on the country, to make sure it didnt get loose and fall into someone else's hands. With out the Declartion we would have all these different kind of culture to explore into. It's not the same old same old like some other countries. There is always some think to look into. You can always try new food out and if you dont have a sweet tooth, you can always bless your ears with different kind of music each culture provides. Try out the different clothing , sports, games, transportation too. With out the Declartion of Independents, we wouldnt have any of these things.
