Activity 5

The Song that i chose work with was called " Only a Pawn in Their Game". The songs about not blaming the people that was part of the governments cruel plans. Their only trying to make a livng, and they were thought the wrong things basically. In other words, they are just "pawns in their game" as the title suggests. You could tell in that era, times were depressing and hard. Yet some of them, never blamed the working men. Just the people they controled them. It's kind of odd, but recently i've been listening to this song called "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi, abd it kinda reminds me of this song in away. This song is about living your life, and not letting anyone stop you from being you. The message both of them gives out, is kinda different, but it can be connected like a puzzel. Only a Pawn in Their game tells, how you shouldnt blame the workers because all their tryin to do is make a living. While the song "its my life" can go into a little more detailed in the aspects of the workers. It's like, if you listen too it's my life, you could understand a pawn in the game a little better..

Un- America

Un-American

What do i find Un-American, as you might say, well? Let me think about it. Got it, i know the perfect topic. The thing that i find really Un-American is what we like to call peer-pressure. Don't understand my way of thinking? Thinking what makes peer-pressure Un-American? Well, let me inlighten you on the ways of the world.
What do we call an America? Other than our home. What does it mean? why do people travel alll around the world just to get here? It's one word that we all know and love, freedom. Freedom to do what you want. Freedom to do what makes you feel comfortable and safe. That's why its legal to actually bring your cultral backrounds to America, so you can feel at home in an new enviroment. So to basically sum it up, America is a place where you can do what you feel safe and comfortable with. Now peer-pressure just kills that for everyone. People didnt come to America, just to be like someone else. They wanna make their own person and not in some bodies shadow . Peer-pressure puts a large amount of stress on people to be what they are not and that is not the American dream.
